Monkey Kaka lost a lot of weight when he couldn’t find food on the island
I’m so sorry about what happened to Kaka. I think the family couldn’t visit her often because of Mr. Ngoc’s work. I also think they lost hope of getting her back. Visiting her every week wasn’t sustainable. It was an expense for the family, and Mr. Ngoc was the only one who could visit her since having two school-age girls made it impossible. Also, by the time Kaka became an adult, I think they lost interest in getting her back because it might be a problem and they’d prefer her to live with other monkeys. It’s unbelievable that the authorities are only concerned about Kaka when we can see many videos on YouTube of families sharing their lives with monkeys. Thanks to these videos, we’ve been able to see firsthand how wonderful these animals are and how they share many things with us. We can see how they show their affection and respect for humans. When we see many monkeys in the wild, we can’t appreciate these characteristics because they rarely approach humans.
I think it’s a shame that these wonderful creatures can’t have the chance to improve their condition by living with their families. We can see that once they’re with humans, they prefer to stay with them. I just hope one day that the laws change, and in countries where monkeys are found in the wild, they can also be adopted and live with humans with proper care. Kaka will be very sad and lonely; I just hope God protects her. In the end, it’s better not to live with any monkeys if you have to leave them in the wild later, since they’ll be used to living with humans and won’t be comfortable with their own kind.
